诸愿偈
Verses On All Vows
阿弥陀佛，十劫已满，四十八愿。
得生极乐，依正二报，自然起发。
吾等众生，只须发一，生净土愿。
Āmítuófó, for ten kalpas, has already been fulfilling his forty-eight great vows. Having attained birth in his Land Of Ultimate Bliss, the two circumstantial and direct rewards, will naturally be given rise to fully. We and other sentient beings, only need to give rise to the one vow [or Aspiration] to be born in his Pure Land.
未生极乐，能仗佛愿，发诸大愿。
四弘誓愿，十大愿王，皆可圆发。
愿满诸愿，只须发一，生净土愿。
Those yet to be born in his Land Of Ultimate Bliss, are able to rely on the Buddha’s vows, to give rise to all great vows. Of the Four Great Vows and the Ten Great Vows’ King, all can be completely given rise to. Wishing to fulfil all vows, we only need to give rise to the one vow to be born in his Pure Land.
