[41] Ten Reflections For Accepting Death 十个接受死亡的反思

[1] Universality: Everyone dies, including you, unless received by Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛) before death.

[2] ‘Immediacy’: Death can arrive at any time, including now.

[3] Preparation: It is thus best to be prepared for departure, as soon as possible.

[4] Opportunity: Death need not be sad or morbid, as it can be the gateway for the best rebirth.

[5] Provisions: For this best rebirth in Āmítuófó’s Pure Land (净土), we should prepare the Three Provisions (三资粮) of profound Faith (深信), sincere Aspiration (切愿) and true Practice (实行) of mindfulness of his name (念佛).

[6] Faith: There should be active learning and asking of questions to give rise to profound Faith.

[7] Aspiration: There should be deep reflecting on this defiled land (秽土) versus that Pure Land to give rise to sincere Aspiration.

[8] Practice: There should be diligent and regular Practice of mindfulness of Āmítuófó’s name.

[9] Accumulation: With the above Three Provisions accumulated well, there will be much peace and bliss (安乐) now.

[10] Ease: With much peace and bliss now, there will be easier reach of Āmítuófó’s Pure Land later.
