[With] Mindfulness [Of] Buddha Born In [The Pure Land Of] Ultimate Bliss, From [A] Dream Within Enter Awakening
[There] are Chán [meditation] practitioners asking, ‘All dharmas, [are] completely like dreams. [This] Sahā [World is] certainly [a] dream, [and the Pure Land Of] Ultimate Bliss [is] also [a] dream. Since [they] are [the] same one dream, cultivating [to reach] it [has] what benefits?’
I said, ‘[It is] not thus. Before [reaching the] Seventh Ground, [it is like] within [a] dream cultivating [the] path.
[With] ignorance’s great dream, although [having] reached Equal Awakening, [one is] still [like those] sleeping.
Only [the] Buddha, [this] one person, [is] then called [the] Great Awakened [One].
When dreaming, [with] eyes yet [to be] opened, suffering [and] bliss [are] as if [real].
Better than [in] this dream receiving [the] extreme suffering of [the] Sahā [World], how [is it] like [in that] dream receiving [the] wonderful bliss of [the Land Of] Ultimate Bliss?
Moreover, [in this] dream of [the] Sahā [World, it is] from [a] dream entering [a] dream, [having] dreamt, then again dreaming, passing through many [paths as] those sunken [in] confusions.
[In that] dream of [the Land Of] Ultimate Bliss, [it is] from [a] dream entering awakening, [having] awakened, then again awakening, gradually reaching that of [the] Great Awakened [One].
[With] dreams although [the] same, therefore [with] those dreaming not yet [the] same. [How] can [they be] discussed as [being] the same?’
