Verses [On] Seven Sevens
[The] one thought before rebirth, determines that place [re]born [in. The] one thought before breathing stops, [is] not definitely this [one] thought [before rebirth].
Therefore continue [with] support-chanting, for guiding [to have] Buddha mindfulness. If entering [the] intermediate [state’s] period, [this] can [be for as] long [as] seven weeks.
Do not think [that] once deceased, [one is] definitely already reborn. Only [those with] great good, evil [and] purity, [are] each quickly [re]born elsewhere.
[The] intermediate [state] is [a] ‘crisis’, having danger, yet [also] bringing opportunity. [One] can accord [with heavy] karma, accord [with] habit[ual force], or accord [with] Buddha mindfulness [to be] reborn.
[Having] departed [from the] body, without [its] sickness [and] pain, this mind [is] able [to be] even more clear. Listening [to] guidance [and] support-chanting, [one] still can give rise [to] pure mindfulness.
