The 36 Refuge & 25 Precept Protector Gods

[The] Sūtra [In Which The] Buddha Spoke [Of] Consecration [Of] Mantra [For Those Who Took The] Threefold Refuge [And Received The] Five Precepts [For] Carrying [And] Wearing [To] Protect [Their] Bodies (Third Scroll):

[Śākyamuni Buddha]:

‘Should [you] write [these] god kings’ names [for] wearing on [your] bodies, [your] going [and] coming, exiting [and] entering, [can be] without any fear. [This] avoids [and] eradicates evil, eliminating [what is] not good…

You [who are] able [to] uphold the [Threefold] Refuge [and Five] Precepts, of places travelled [to, you] can [be] without any fear. [The] Precept gods [of] 25 [and] Refuge gods [of] 36, [will] always follow [to] protect you, [with] all external evil demons not daring [to] obstruct you.’
