‘It must be known that in the Buddha’s teachings, the Dharma doors are immeasurable [in number]. [However], if desiring, as ordinary beings completely [overpowered by much negative] karma’s power, to in this present life immediately attain liberation from [the cycle of] birth and death, [if] departing from this one Dharma [door] of Nianfo [Practice] with [deep] Faith and [sincere] Aspiration, to seek birth in the Western [Pure Land], the Buddha too cannot speak of a second Dharma door [for such swift liberation].’
