[1] There Is Buddhahood:
Have faith that…
the historical Śākyamuni Buddha (释迦牟尼佛)
has attained Buddhahood (佛果).
[2] There Are Many Buddhas:
Have faith that…
as the Buddha realised,
there are immeasurable other Buddhas too,
such as Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛: Amitābha Buddha),
who also represents all Buddhas together.
[3] We Have Buddha-Nature:
Have faith that…
as the Buddha taught,
since all sentient beings have Buddha-nature (佛性),
we can attain Buddhahood too.
[4] We Can Attain Buddhahood:
Have faith that…
not only can the virtuous attain Buddhahood,
so can the unvirtuous,
as long as they turn around.
[5] We Have The Worthiest Goal:
Have faith that…
there is nothing more wonderful
than realising our Buddha-nature for Buddhahood.
[6] We Always Have Buddha-Nature:
Have faith that…
even when facing great suffering and difficulties,
our Buddha-nature is always present within.
[7] We Can Align To Our Buddha-Nature:
Have faith that…
mindfulness of Buddha (Āmítuófó) (念佛)
aids in aligning to our Buddha-nature.
[8] We Can Connect To Buddha:
Have faith that…
connecting our limited Self-power (自力)
to Āmítuófó’s great Other-power (他力)
can lead us to his Pure Land (净土) too.
[9] We Can Expedite Our Buddhahood:
Have faith that…
reaching the Pure Land most swiftly
expedites our progress to Buddhahood.
[10] We Can Deliver All:
Have faith that…
upon return from the Pure Land,
we will be able to most swiftly
expedite others’ progress to Buddhahood too.
