往生西方，胜于生天
[171] Rebirth [In the] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss Is] Superior To Birth [In The] Heavens
人生世间，超升最难，堕落最易。
Human life [in this] world, [is with] transcending [and] ascending most difficult, [and] falling most easy.
若不往生西方，且莫说人道不足恃，即生于天上，福寿甚长，福力一尽，仍旧堕落人间，及三途恶道受苦。
If not [practising for] rebirth [in the] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss], moreover, [do] not say [that the] human path [is] not worth relying on, then [practising for] birth in [the] heavens above. [Although with] blessings [and] lifespan extremely long, [with] blessings’ power once exhausted, [there is] still falling [into this] human world, and [into the] three realms’ evil paths [to] receive suffering.
不知佛法，则无可如何。
[If] not knowing [the] Buddha’s Dharma, then [is it] without any way [out].
今既略晓佛法，岂可将此一番大利益事，让与别人，自己甘心在六道轮回中，头出头没，永无解脱之日乎？
Now, since briefly knowing [the] Buddha’s Dharma, how can [there be] with this one great beneficial matter, offering [and] giving [to] other people, [with] oneself willing to [be] within [the] six paths’ rebirths, [with the] head emerging [and the] head sinking, forever without [the] day of liberation?
