[126] My Father’s Successful Journey To Āmítuófó’s Pure Land

Thank you, Shi’an Laoshi (Teacher) and fellow PPF (Pureland Practice Fellowship) members, for the support-chanting on this last journey of my Father (Bro. GB Wee). 🙏🏻 My family is very grateful to each of you, and wish to express our sincere gratitude. 🙇🏻♀️
As a Purelander, this is a very important task, for me to do the best and offer the greatest gift to my Father, for him to reach Āmítuófó’s (阿弥陀佛) Pure Land (净土) successfully.
My Father, having attended several of Shi’an Laoshi’s courses and PPF sessions, clearly mentioned to me many times that he aspires to reach Āmítuófó’s Pure Land.
I am sure he is very grateful and honoured to have been part of the PPF family too. Let’s aspire to unite with him in Āmítuófó’s Pure Land too. 🙏🏻
Triple Auspicious Signs After Departure
[1] His facial expression was calm. My sister commented that he looked like a baby sleeping. (Note: This auspicious sign [瑞相] is called the facial appearance as if alive [and peaceful]: 面相如生.)
[2] When the undertaker carried his body from his house down to the void deck, it was bent, not stiff. (Note: This auspicious sign is called the body and mind being gentle and soft: 身心柔软.)
[3] The next day, the maid went to his room and smelled some fragrance but could not explain what it was. My Mother smelled it too. The smell lasted for a very short time before disappearing (which could mean it was to assure there was a good departure). (Note: This auspicious sign is called extraordinary fragrance filling the room: 异香满堂.)
