命好偈
Verses On Life Improvement
若运当好，仍要作好。
若运不好，更要作好。
If your ‘fortune’ will be good, you still must do good. If your fortune is not good, all the more must you do good.
前世不好，八字不好。
今世要好，四字念好。
With your past life not good, are your ‘eight characters’ not good. If you want your present life to be good, have the four words of Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛) recited well.
