[260] 佛说净土法门难信是指什么难信？
[260] [The] Buddhas’ Speaking [Of The] Pure Land Dharma Door [Being] Difficult [To] Believe Is Pointing [To] What [Being] Difficult [To] Believe?
◎ 以仗自力通途法门之义，疑仗佛力特别法门之益，而不肯信受。佛说难信，盖即指此。
◎ [Summary]: With relying on [the] meaning of self-power’s Common Dharma Doors, doubting [the] benefits of relying [on the] Buddha’s power’s Special Dharma Door, then not willing [to] faithfully accept [it. When the] Buddhas spoke [of it being] difficult [to] believe, [it is] about thus, pointing [to] this.
须知净土法门，乃一代时教中之特别法门，不可以与通途法门并论。
[It] must [be] known [that the] Pure Land Dharma Door, [is] thus [the Buddhas’] one lifetime’s teachings within, its Special Dharma Door, [that] must not [be] with Common Dharma Doors together discussed.
若不明此义，以仗自力通途法门之义，疑仗佛力特别法门之益，而不肯信受，则其失大矣。佛说难信，盖即指此。
If not understanding this meaning, with relying on [the] meaning of self-power’s Common Dharma Doors, doubting [the] benefits of relying [on the] Buddha’s power’s Special Dharma Door, then not willing [to] faithfully accept [it], then [are] those losses great. [When the] Buddhas speak [of it being] difficult [to] believe, [it is] about thus, pointing [to] this.
若无此执，则谁不信受奉行焉？
If without this attachment, then who [will] not faithfully accept [and] practise [it]?
