[294] 回向与信愿是什么关系?
[294] Dedication With Faith [And] Aspiration Have What Relationship?
◎ 回向即信愿之发于口者。其心中但具愿生之念,即是常时回向。
◎ [Summary]: Dedication [is] thus that giving rise of Faith [and] Aspiration from [the] mouth. [With] this mind within, only possessing [the] thought of Aspiration [for] birth [in his Pure Land, this] then is constant dedication.
念佛、回向,不可偏废。
[On] recitation [of Āmítuó]fó[‘s name (阿弥陀佛) and] dedication, [there] must not [be] partial neglecting [of either].
回向即信愿之发于口者。
Dedication [is] thus that giving rise of Faith [and] Aspiration from [the] mouth.
然回向只宜于夜课毕,及日中念佛诵经毕后行之。
However, dedication [is] only suitable at night chanting [practice’s] end, and within [the] day’s recitation [of Āmítuó]fó[‘s name and] recitation [of] sūtras’ end, after [then] practising it.
念佛当从朝至暮不间断,其心中但具愿生之念,即是常时回向。若夫依仪诵文回向,固不得常常如是。
[With] recitation [of Āmítuó]fó[‘s name, that] should [be] from dawn till dusk uninterrupted, this mind within, only possessing [the] thought of Aspiration [for] birth [in his Pure Land, this] then is constant dedication. As for relying on ceremonial recitation’s text [for] dedication, [it] certainly cannot [be] frequently [doing] thus.
