[288] 对念佛往生不生一念疑惑之心，有何殊胜利益？
[288] Towards Mindfulness [Of] Buddha [For] Rebirth Not Giving Rise [To] One Thought Of Doubt [And] Confusion’s Mind Has What Excellent Benefits?
◎ 果能生死心切，对念佛往生信得及，不生一念疑惑之心，则虽未出娑婆，已非娑婆之久客，未生极乐，即是极乐之嘉宾。
◎ [Summary]: If able [to have liberation from the cycle of] birth [and] death’s mind sincere, towards mindfulness [of] Buddha [for] rebirth, [with] Faith attained [and] reached, not giving rise [to] one thought of doubt [and] confusion’s mind, then although yet [to] exit [this] Sahā [World, [one] already [is] not [a] long-time guest of [this] Sahā [World], yet [to be] born [in the Land Of] Ultimate Bliss, immediately is [an] honourable guest of [the Land Of] Ultimate Bliss.
张善和，张钟馗，临终地狱相现，念佛数声，即亲见佛来接引往生。如是利益，一代时教，百千万亿法门之所无者。
Zhāng Shànhé [and] Zhāng Zhōngkuí, [when] approaching [life’s] end [with the] hells’ forms appearing, [with] reciting [of Āmítuó]fó[‘s name (阿弥陀佛) [for a] number [of] times, immediately personally saw [the] Buddha come [to] receive [and] guide [them to be] reborn [in his Pure Land]. Of these such benefits, [the Buddha’s] one lifetime’s teachings’ hundred trillion [other] Dharma Doors, [are] those without [them].
吾常曰，九界众生离此法，上不能圆成佛道，十方诸佛舍此法，下不能普利群萌者。此之谓也。
I often say, that [if the] nine realms’ sentient beings depart [from] this [Pure Land] Dharma [Door (净土法门), for those] above, [they are] not able [to] completely accomplish [the] Buddha path, [and if the] ten directions’ all Buddhas abandon this Dharma, [for those] below, [they are] not able [to] universally benefit sentient beings. This is that meant.
