[276] 以前做过种种恶事，现在念佛能够往生吗?
[276] [If In The] Past [Having] Done All Kinds [Of] Evil Matters, Now Reciting [Āmítuó]fó[‘s Name, Is One] Able [To Be] Reborn [In His Pure Land]?
◎ 佛视众生犹如亲生儿女，儿女不依父母之教，父母无可奈何。众生若肯改过迁善念佛，佛决定于彼临终亲垂接引也。
◎ [Summary]: [The] Buddha sees sentient beings [to be] similar to [his] personally born sons [and] daughters, [but if his] sons [and] daughters [do] not rely on [the] teachings [of their] father [and] mother, [the] father [and] mother [also are with] no way to help [them]. If sentient beings [are] willing [to] correct [their] faults, change [to be] good, [and] recite [Āmítuó]fó[‘s name (阿弥陀佛), the] Buddha [will] definitely for those, [when] approaching [life’s] end, approach [to] receive [and] guide [them].
若其人未发心念佛前，曾作诸恶，今既念佛生大惭愧，痛改前非，则亦可决定往生。
If [there are] those persons, [when] yet [to] give rise [to] Aspiration [to] recite [Āmítuó]fó[‘s name (阿弥陀佛), having] previously done many evils before, now already [having] given rise [to] great repentance, [to] painstakingly change [their] past mistakes, [they] then also can definitely [be] reborn [in his Pure Land (净土)].
