遇鬼偈
Verse On Meeting A Ghost
遇鬼不慌，开示助念。
既能护身，又能度生。
When meeting a ghost, without panicking,
offer guidance and support-chanting
[with Āmítuófó’s name: 阿弥陀佛].
This is both able to protect oneself,
and able to deliver the sentient being [to his Pure Land].
