末后付嘱
Final Exhortation
【《阿弥陀经》中】佛告舍利弗：「若有人，已发愿、今发愿、当发愿，欲生阿弥陀佛国者。是诸人等，皆得不退转于阿耨多罗三藐三菩提，于彼国土，若已生、若今生、若当生。」「是故舍利弗，汝等皆当信受我语，及诸佛所说。」
[In the Amitā(bha) Sūtra, the] Buddha told Śāriputra, ‘If [there] are people [who have] already vowed, [are] now vowing, [or] will [be] vowing, [with the] desire [to be] born [in] Amitā[bha] Buddha’s Land, all these people [and] others, [will] all attain non-retrogression for Anuttarā Samyak Saṃbodhi. In that land, [they have] already [been] born, or [are] now [being] born, or will [be] born.’ ‘Therefore, Śāriputra, you [and] all others should faithfully accept my words, and those that all Buddhas say.’
【按】人在三界中，如在围城内，急求出路，方能逃脱。乃幸而开得一门，可以直达家乡，机缘岂可错过！
[Note]: People within [the] three realms [of desire (欲界), form (色界) and formlessness (无色界)], [are] like inside [a] walled city, urgently seeking [an] exit path, [to] then [be] able [to] escape. Thereupon fortunately, [with the] opening [and] attaining [of] one door, [they] can directly reach [their] homeland. How can [this] opportunity [and] affinity [be] missed?
净土法门者，透出围城，直达家乡之路也。释迦如来，大慈大悲，悯念被围之人，必受荼毒，所以开此捷径之门，招人速出。
That Pure Land Dharma Door, [is the] path of penetrating through [the] walled city, [to] directly reach [our] homeland. Śākya[muni] Thus Come [One, with] great loving-kindness [and] great compassion, sympathetically mindful of people [who are] walled in, who] will receive bitter poison [i.e. great suffering], therefore opened this door that [is a] shortcut, [and] beckoned people [to] quickly exit [through it].
此段经文，是最后叮咛语，不独教人谛信如来自己之言，并示以信受十方诸佛之语，悲心亦甚切矣。
This section [of the] sūtra text, is [the] final exhortation, not only teaching people [to] truly believe [the] own words of [the] Thus Come [One], also guiding [to] faithfully receive [the] speech of [the] ten directions’ all Buddhas, [whose] compassionate minds [are] likewise extremely sincere.
吾辈身荷大恩，无由上报，惟有如说修行，立弘誓愿，求生净土而已。谨将修持法门等，开列于后。
[With] us personally shouldering [their] great kindness, not able [to have its] higher repayment, [we should] only have thus said cultivated, [by] establishing [the] great vow, [to] seek birth [in the] Pure Land, that is all. Sincerely, [I] will [be with the] practice’s Dharma Door [and] others, listed in [the] below.
