Physiognomy’s Essential Meanings 相医要义 Appearance And Mind’s Relationship 相心关系

[1] [If there] is [the] mind without [the] appearance, [the] appearance [will] accord [with the] mind [to] arise.
[2] [If there] is [the] appearance without [the] mind, [the] appearance [will] follow [the] mind [to be] eliminated.

With these four lines, towards all people speak [them]. Instruct [1] those [who] have good appearances [to] resolutely encourage, [and] [2] those without good appearances [to] resolutely cultivate. Certainly hoping to [have] [1] those good forever retaining their good, [and] [2] those not good immediately changing [to] be good.

[Of] physiognomists constantly able [to], with these inform people, then dwelling [in the] marketplace, [and] for governance, with appearances transforming people, they [will] make meritorious virtues, [that] are [the] most excellent. With these dedicating [to be reborn in the] Western [Pure Land], they definitely can fulfil that aspired.

This path of resolute encouragement [and] resolute cultivation, [does] not go beyond [this] —

‘[Be with] harmonious human relationships, [to the] utmost fulfil responsibilities, end evil [thoughts], maintain sincerity, [of] all evils not do, [and of] all good practise [them. With] Faith [and] Aspiration [be] mindful [of the] Buddha[‘s name: Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛)], [to] seek birth [in his] Western [Pure Land].’

With this personally practising, again with [this] transforming others. [This is] also possible [to] transcend [the] ordinary [and] enter [the] noble, moreover [to, in this] world’s several decades [of] years, [have] wealth [and] honour, blessings [and] favors.

Doctors healing sicknesses, also should pay attention to this. Those able [to be] like this, are named [as] true doctors, are as true disciples of [the] Great Healing King [i.e. Āmítuófó].
