信愿行船喻
Faith, Aspiration And Practice’s Ship Analogy
信念佛，佛接引，
如信唤，即带船。
Having Faith that with mindfulness of Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛), Āmítuófó will receive and guide, this is like having Faith that with ‘calling out’, he immediately brings the ‘ship’.
愿跟佛，生极乐，
如愿登，往西船。
Having Aspiration to follow Āmítuófó, for birth in his Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, this is like having Aspiration to ascend, the ‘ship’ for rebirth in the West.
行一心，念佛名，
如行备，莲华船。
Having Practice of wholeheartedness, when mindful of Āmítuófó’s name, this is like having Practice to prepare, the lotus flower ‘ship’.
注：正如我们对乘坐经验丰富的船长所掌舵的船充满信心，我们也可以深信依靠阿弥陀佛的圆满他力，能自在到达他的净土。
Note: Just as we have confidence in travelling on a ship steered by an experienced captain, we can have deep Faith in the great ease of reaching Āmítuófó’s Pure Land, by riding on his perfect Other-power too.
