戒体偈
戒体未唤醒，易刹那破戒。
一旦堕三途，难归成佛道。
Verse On Precepts’ Essence
With the Precepts’ Essence yet to be awakened, it is easy to, in a moment break the Precepts. Once falling into the three lower paths (of hell-beings, hungry ghosts and animals), it is difficult to return to accomplish the Buddha path.
持戒偈
学戒知善恶，受戒得戒体。
诵戒常反省，此是持戒行。
Verse On Upholding The Precepts
With learning of the Precepts, know good and evil. With receiving of the Precepts, attain the Precepts’ Essence. With reciting of the Precepts, have frequent reflection. This is the practice of upholding the Precepts.
念佛三学偈
念佛之时，以净持戒。
以诚生定，以名开慧。
Verse On Mindfulness Of Buddha’s Three Learnings
When mindful of Āmítuófó, with purity uphold the Precepts, with sincerity give rise to Concentration, and with his name open wisdom.
