[158] With [The] Pure Land [Tradition’s] Three Sūtras And [The] Flower Adornment Sūtra As Travelling [And] Visiting’s Route
[The] layperson, since secular [and] cultivating [for the] true, [should] accord [with] conditions [to] advance [on the] path. Firmly uphold [the] one line [of Ā]mítuó[fó’s name] [阿弥陀佛], [with it] regarded as [this] life’s original destiny [for realising self-nature].
Embracing ‘shamefulness’ [and] ‘repentance’, [these] two words, with [them] for entering sacred stairways, [on] sacred lands untiring [and] constantly ascend, [and] record those footprints for opening people’s ears [and] eyes. [This] truly can [be] called [to be] for [the] Dharma forgetting [the] body.
[Note: 1 The layperson practised the ascetic practice (头陀行) of walking to many places, and wrote the ‘Record Of Famous Mountains’ Travels And Visits’《名山游访记》.]
However, with [Yìn]guāng’s foolish views, [there] apparently can [be] with stopping [of] steps [to] rest. Even if desiring [to] widely travel, [it] should [be] with [the] consciousness, not needing [to be] with [the] body.
[With A]mitā[bha Buddha’s] Three Sūtras, [and the] Flower Adornment, [this] one [sūtra], regarded as travelling [and] visiting’s route [for seeking teachers to learn]. Meditatively sitting within seven treasures’ ponds, everywhere travelling [in the] Flower Treasury World.

[Note 3: The Flower Treasury World (华藏世界) is the collective term for the whole universe, with all its worlds.]
[With the] consciousness [having] more and more travelling, then [with the] body more and more strong, [with] mindfulness more and more universal, then [with the] mind more and more unified.
That stillness, [is with] one thought ungraspable. That illumination [is with the] ten thousand virtues originally complete. [With] stillness [and] illumination perfectly harmonious, [the] absolute [and] conventional [are] not two.
[With] ten lifetimes [from] then [to] now, present in the same thought. [With] boundless lands’ ocean, gathering [to] return [to] one’s mind.
Comparing [with] those wearing [the] stars [and] carrying [the] moon [i.e. toiling day and night], braving [the] rain [and] charging [at the] wind, [with] those approaching [a] deep abyss, then apprehensively [and] cautiously, walking [on a] dangerous cliff, then appallingly, [they are] not only [with a] day [and] kalpa’s [in] times [different from] one another. [With] humble views like these, not knowing what [the] layperson thinks [about them]?
