劝信愿行偈
Verses On Encouraging Faith, Aspiration And Practice
一切助念前，
莫忘先开示，
劝生信愿行，
念见佛跟去。
Before all support-chanting, do not forget to offer guidance first, to encourage giving rise to Faith, Aspiration and Practice, with mindfulness of Āmítuófó, seeing and following him to his Pure Land.
得助念回向，
亡者若不明，
不生信愿行，
西方怎能去？
Attaining support-chanting and dedicating of meritorious virtues, if the dying or deceased still do not understand, not giving rise to Faith, Aspiration and Practice, how can the Western Land Of Ultimate Bliss be reached?
得多功德者，
能多消业障，
更易信愿行，
往生净土去。
However, those attaining much meritorious virtues, are able to have much eliminating of karmic obstacles, to more easily give rise to Faith, Aspiration and Practice, to be reborn in the Pure Land.
