助念偈
礼敬开示，忏悔诵经，
念佛回向，有何意义？

Support-Chanting Verse
With [1] Bowing, [2] Guidance, [3] Repentance, [4] recitation of Āmítuójīng (阿弥陀经: Amitā[bha] Sūtra), [5] recitation of Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛: Amitā[bha] Buddha) and [6] dedication of Merits, they have what significance?

礼拜偈
三声引磬，都摄身心，
集众三拜，礼佛亡者。

Bowing Verse
With three soundings of the guiding bell, gathering body and mind, with the gathered assembly have three bows, bowing towards the Buddha and deceased.

开示偈
精简开示，如何念佛，
起信发愿，实行西方。
[2]
Guidance Verse
Offer concise guidance, on how to be mindful of Āmítuófó, to give rise to Faith and Aspiration, to truly have Practice for reaching his Western Pure Land.

忏悔偈
代忏恶业，速得心安，
更易听经，安住佛号。

Repentance Verse
Represent the deceased to repent for evil karmas, to quickly attain peace of mind, to easier listen to the sūtra, and to peacefully abide upon Āmítuófó’s name.

诵经偈
再以念诵，阿弥陀经，
佛言开示，净土殊胜。

Sūtra Recitation Verse
Again, with recitation of Āmítuójīng, with the Buddha’s words offer guidance, on the excellence of rebirth in the Pure Land.

念佛偈
助念正行，四字佛号，
阿弥陀佛，表信愿行。

Buddha Recitation Verse
Begin support-chanting’s Main Practice, with the four-worded Buddha’s name, ‘Āmítuófó’, to express Faith, Aspiration and Practice.

回向偈
回向功德，亡者债主，
一切众生，同生极乐。

Dedication Verse
Dedicate meritorious virtues created, to the deceased, karmic creditors, and all other sentient beings, to together be born in the Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss.
