Records Of A Father’s, Mother’s, Son’s, Daughter’s And Grandson’s Rebirths In Pure Land

[110] Sòng [Dynasty’s] Wèi Shìzi
魏世子，梁郡人，生当宋世。
Wèi Shìzi, [was a] Liáng prefecture person, born in [the] Sòng period.
奉佛精进，率诸子女，修西方净业。唯妇独不信。
[He made] offerings [to the] Buddha diligently, [and] led [all, his] son [and] daughter, [to] cultivate [the] Western [Pure Land’s] pure karma. [There was] only [his] wife alone not [having] Faith.
其女病死，七日复苏，即升高座，诵无量寿经。
His daughter [with] sickness died. Seven days [later], again reviving, [she] immediately ascended [to a] high seat, [to] recite [the] Immeasurable Life Sūtra.
下启父言，儿去，便往无量寿国。
Next teaching [her] father [and] son [to] go, [to] then [be] reborn [in] Immeasurable Life [Buddha’s] Land.
儿及父兄，池中各有大莲华，当生其内。
[Her] son, father [and] elder brother, [in its] ponds within, each had [a] great lotus flower, [that they] will [be] born within.
唯母独无，不胜此悲，故归启报，语竟而瞑。母自是亦奉法焉。（冥祥记）
[As] only [her] mother alone [was] without [one, she could] not bear this sorrow, thus returning [to] teach [and] report. [Having] spoken completely, then closing [her] eyes. [Her] mother since, was also [with] belief [in the] Dharma. (Record [Of] Profound Signs)

[20] Sòng [Dynasty’s] Wèi Shìzi’s Daughter
魏世子女，梁郡人。
Wèi Shìzi’s daughter, [was a] Liáng prefecture person.
其父兄皆修净业，女亦笃志往生。
[As] her father [and] elder brother all cultivated pure karma, she [was] also [with] single-minded Aspiration [to be] reborn [in Pure Land].
无何化去，七日复苏，即升高座，诵无量寿经。
Before long, [she] departed [to] go. Seven days [later], again reviving, [she] immediately ascended [to a] high seat, [to] recite [the] Immeasurable Life Sūtra.
既毕，下启父言，儿去，便往无量寿国。
[With this] already completed, next teaching [her] father [and] son [to] go, [to] then [be] reborn [in] Immeasurable Life [Buddha’s] Land.
七宝池中，儿及父兄，各有一大莲华，当生其内。
[In its] seven-treasures’ ponds within, [her] son, father [and] elder brother each had [a] great lotus flower, [that they] will [be] born within.
唯母独无，不胜此悲，故来相报，语讫而瞑。母自是亦奉法焉。（冥祥记）
