Mindfulness Of Buddha Needs Dedication Of Its Merits 念佛须回向

[On] mindfulness [of] Buddha [and] dedication [of its meritorious virtues, there] cannot [be] leaning [to one, while] abandoning [the other].

Dedication then [is] that [of] Faith [and] Aspiration [being] given rise, [as expressed] from [the] mouth.

However, dedication [is] only suitable at night recitation [practice’s] end, and [with the] day within’s mindfulness [of] Buddha [and] recitation [of] sūtras, after [they] end, practising it.

[With] mindfulness [of] Buddha from dawn till dusk uninterrupted, [with] this mind within only complete [with the] thought of Aspiration [for] birth [in Pure Land, this] then is [to have] constant dedication.
