Give Rise To Repentance, Fear And Bodhi Mind
Although mindfulness [of] Buddha [is] able [to] eliminate past [negative] karma, [there is] however need [to] give rise [to] great repentance, [and] give rise [to] great fear [of karmic retribution, to] transform sentient beings’ mind [of] harming others [for] benefitting oneself, [to] practise Bodhisattvas’ practices [for] universally benefitting sentient beings.
Then, if past [negative] karma, or present [negative] karma, all rely [on] this great Bodhi Mind [i.e. Bodhicitta] within’s Buddha’s name’s bright light, [they will] be eliminated, [to be] completely gone.
