Dedication To All Sentient Beings Does Not Lose Self-Benefits 回向一切众生不失自利

[The] mind [of] dedication [with] giving rise [of] Aspiration, [is] called [to be] with oneself’s mindfulness [of] Buddha’s meritorious virtues, [to] dedicate [to the] Dharma Realm’s all sentient beings, [to] all [be] reborn [in the] Western [Pure Land].

If having this mind, [the] meritorious virtues [are] immeasurable.

If only for oneself one person reciting, then [with the] mind’s capacity [being] narrow [and] small, [the] meritorious virtues [will be] likewise narrow [and] small.

For example, like one lamp, only [has the] brightness of one lamp.

If willing [to in] turn light [others], then [can there be a] hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred million, immeasurable [and] innumerable lamps, [with] their brightness because [of this, that] cannot [be] understood, yet [with the] original lamp definitely without that diminished.

[The] world’s people, not knowing this meaning, thus stop [at] knowing [to be] selfish [for their] self-benefits, not aspiring [to have other] persons attain their benefits.
