念佛、回向,不可偏废。
[On] mindfulness [of] Buddha [and] dedication [of its meritorious virtues, there] cannot [be] leaning [to one, while] abandoning [the other].
回向即信愿之发于口者。
Dedication then [is] that [of] Faith [and] Aspiration [being] given rise, [as expressed] from [the] mouth.
然回向只宜于夜课毕,及日中念佛诵经毕后行之。
However, dedication [is] only suitable at night recitation [practice’s] end, and [with the] day within’s mindfulness [of] Buddha [and] recitation [of] sūtras, after [they] end, practising it.
念佛当从朝至暮不间断,其心中但具愿生之念,即是常时回向。
[With] mindfulness [of] Buddha from dawn till dusk uninterrupted, [with] this mind within only complete [with the] thought of Aspiration [for] birth [in Pure Land, this] then is [to have] constant dedication.
