问：临终猛切，能除多罪，平日至心称名，亦除罪否？
Question: [When] approaching [the] end [of life with] intense sincerity, [this is] able [to] eliminate many transgressions. [In] ordinary days [with the] sincere mind reciting [the] name [of Āmítuófó, does this] also eliminate transgressions [or] not?
答：如日出，群暗消。称洪名，万罪灭。
Answer: Like the sun rising, all darkness [is] eliminated [then. When] reciting [the] great name [of Āmítuófó], ten thousand transgressions [are] destroyed.
