[Even] people usually not mindful [of Amitā(bha)] Buddha[‘s name: ‘Āmítuófó’, when] approaching [the] end [of life, with a] good friend offering guidance [to give rise to profound Faith and sincere Aspiration, and] everyone [in the family offering] support-chanting, likewise [are] able [to be] reborn [in Āmítuófó’s Pure Land].
People often mindful [of] Buddha, [when] approaching [the] end [of life], if by ignorant family members, in advance for [them] cleaning [their] bodies, changing clothes, and [with] asking [of] all [kinds of] matters, with crying [and] others, due [to] these causes [and] conditions, destroys [their] right mindfulness, thereupon [making it] difficult [to be] reborn [in Pure Land].
Therefore, people mindful [of] Buddha, must enable family members within [the] family [to, in] usual times, all [be] mindful [of Buddha too].
Thus, [when] oneself [is] approaching [the] end [of life], they [and] others all [will be] able [to practise] support-chanting [for oneself then, and for others in the family later].
Also, due [to] often speaking of [the] benefits [of] support-chanting [when] approaching [the] end [of life], and of [the] harms [of] blindly planning, preparing [and] crying, then not going so far [as to], with [the] filial heart, yet causing relatives [to] still receive [the] great suffering [of] birth [and] death.
[This] then attains [the] great benefit [of having] immediate birth [in the] Western [Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss].
