[Many] men of character, [when] living within [this] world, for all [kinds of] matters, [are] not without planning.
Only for [this] one matter [of liberation from the cycle of] birth [and] death, [it is] instead mostly set aside without question.
Always waiting until [this] retribution [body] ends, [when] life exhausts, [one] thus accords [with] karma [to] receive retribution, not knowing [where] this one thought’s mental consciousness, again to which path within goes, [to] receive [re]birth.
[In the] human [and] heavenly [realms, we are like] ‘guests’ residing, [while the] three paths [of hell-beings, hungry ghosts and animals] are [like our] ‘homelands’, [where there is longer stay].
Once [with] retribution [of falling into the] three paths, [it might be for] hundreds [of] thousands [of] kalpas, [while to] again [be] born [as] human [and] heavenly [beings, is] without [a] definite date.
Due [to] this as said, thus of [the] method [to be] liberated [from the cycle of] birth [and] death, [it] indeed cannot [be] not eagerly emphasised [upon].
