Verses On Four Great Bodhisattvas’ Compassion, Wisdom, Vows And Practices
四大菩萨偈
四大菩萨，
皆往皆度，
极乐世界，
为圆满者。
Verse On Four Great Bodhisattvas
[The] Four Great Bodhisattvas, all go towards [and] all deliver [beings, to the Pure] Land [Of] Ultimate Bliss, for [becoming] complete [and] perfect ones.
大悲偈
大慈悲者，
观音菩萨，
已生极乐，
为圆满悲。
Verse On Great Compassion
[The] one [with] Great Loving-Kindness [And] Compassion, Avalokiteśvara (Guānshìyīn) Bodhisattva, [is] already born [in the Pure Land Of] Ultimate Bliss, for completing [and] perfecting [her] compassion.
以《佛说观无量寿佛经》为证
With [the] ‘Sūtra [In Which The] Buddha Speaks [Of] Contemplation [On] Immeasurable Life Buddha’ as proof
大智偈
大智慧者，
文殊菩萨，
愿生极乐，
为圆满智。
Verse On Great Wisdom
[The] one [with] Great Wisdom, Mañjuśrī (Wénshūshīlì) Bodhisattva, vowed [to be] born [in the Pure Land Of] Ultimate Bliss, for completing [and] perfecting [his] wisdom.
以《文殊师利发愿经》为证
With [the] ‘Sūtra [On] Mañjuśrī’s Giving Rise [Of] Vows’ as proof
大愿偈
大愿心者，
地藏菩萨，
愿度极乐，
为圆满愿。
Verse On Great Vows
[The] one [with] Great Vows, Kṣitigarbha (Dìzàng) Bodhisattva, vowed [to] deliver [beings to the Pure Land Of] Ultimate Bliss, for completing [and] perfecting [his] vows.
以《佛说地藏菩萨经》（敦煌藏本）为证
With [the] ‘Sūtra [In Which The] Buddha Speaks [Of] Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva’ (Dùnhuáng Treasury Version) as proof
大行偈
大行愿者，
普贤菩萨，
愿行极乐，
为圆满行。
Verse On Great Practices
[The] one [with] Great Practices [And] Vows, Samantabhadra (Pǔxián) Bodhisattva, vowed [to] practise [to reach the Pure Land Of] Ultimate Bliss, for completing [and] perfecting [his] practices.
以《普贤菩萨行愿品》为证
With [the] ‘Chapter [On] Samantabhadra Bodhisattva’s Practices And Vows’ as proof
悲：大慈大悲，观音菩萨，亦接生西，何不吾人？
Compassion: With great loving-kindness and great compassion, the Contemplator Of The World’s Sounds Bodhisattva, also receives beings for birth in the Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, why not us too?
智：七佛之师，文殊菩萨，亦愿生西，何不吾人？
Wisdom: As the Teacher Of Seven Buddhas, Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva, also vowed to be born in the Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, why not us too?
愿：无尽大愿，地藏菩萨，亦引生西，何不吾人？
Vow: With inexhaustible great vows, Earth Treasury Bodhisattva, also guides beings for birth in the Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, why not us too?
行：十大愿王，普贤菩萨，亦修生西，何不吾人？
Practice: The Ten Great Vows’ King, Universal Virtue Bodhisattva, also practised for birth in the Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss, why not us too?
