‘Nowadays, the destiny of the world is in a precarious state. If able to sincerely be mindful of Buddha [i.e. Nianfo], this definitely can transform the inauspicious met to be the auspicious. Otherwise, disasters now, compared with the past, are not the same, and are just unavoidable, [even if wishing to be] avoided, not able to be guarded against… This should, with family members, be detailedly spoken of, thus for the living and deceased equally obtaining benefits.’
