How many vows do we need to reach Pure Land?
None, one, a few or many?
What is the minimum?
Amituofo already made 48 perfect vows
to guide us to reach his Pure Land,
to help us fulfill all vows there.
We need one key vow – to reach Pure Land,
to perfectly vow the 10 great vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva* there,
and any other additional personal vows.
(*Samantabhadra Bodhisattva’s archetypal vows represent the fundamental vows of all Bodhisattvas of the past, present and future.)
